Hi, I’m Nicole, but my friends call me Nikki.
I am a 30-something lifestyle blogger who loves sweatpants, shopping, and self-care.
I created this blog to find my voice, share my knowledge, and help other women find the balance that they’ve been looking for and craving all their life.
When I started my business in 2015, I was stuck in a 9-5 job which was sucking the life out of me. I was constantly stressed out, anxious, and depressed to the point where I felt the effects of the stress in my body. The physical exhaustion, depression, and burnout that I was experiencing didn’t help either. Above all else, I didn’t love who I had become.
I knew I needed to stop doing the things that made me unhappy, and in this case, I knew I had to quit that job. And, I did quit that job right after I clocked in after a fantastic week-long solo vacation in the Caribbean! That moment started my self-care journey, and I am so proud of who I’ve become today.
Since that day, I’ve worked as a virtual assistant, online business manager, life coach, consultant, and of course, a lifestyle and wellness blogger. I was used to hiding behind a computer because I was afraid of what people would think, especially my family and friends. I even hid all of these amazing things I was doing from them because I didn’t want to be judged. [Insert a massive amount of mindset work here]
As a multi-passionate entrepreneur, it was hard for me to find my place at first. I was constantly told that I needed to conform or fit into a specific “box” or category that everyone else fits into. That didn’t vibe well with me at all. It also never worked.
Something always felt like it was missing, and now I know why… I needed to create my path in life, and this blog was one of the stepping stones for me to do that. I used this blog to find my voice, share my knowledge, and help other women find the balance that they’ve been looking for and craving all their life.
Starting your self-care journey is a life-changing decision that no one should take lightly. I won’t lie to you and say it will be easy because it’s not.
It’s going to be challenging and sometimes scary AF when you need to dig deep into the mindset work keeping you stuck all of these years.
The magic is in the work you do every day for the rest of your life. This journey is a marathon, not a sprint, and I hope this blog helps you every step along that way!
