How To Make Your Own Sugar Scrub

We’ve all seen all types of sugar scrubs on the market these days. However, it’s up to you if you want to buy the pre-made products from trusted vendors or if you want to do it yourself. 

Today, I wanted to share with you a great recipe on how to make your own Cotton Blossom Sugar Scrub so you can add it directly to your self care routine!

Ingredients To Make Cotton Blossom Sugar Scrub:

YIELDS: 2 cups

Directions:

  1. Place all of the above ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
  2. Transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for up to 1 month.

How To Use:

  1. In the shower, wet your skin and generously apply the cotton blossom sugar scrub.
  2. Massage in a circular fashion to allow the sugar to exfoliate and the coconut oil to moisturize your skin. Enjoy the fresh, clean and uplifting scent of spring!
  3. Rinse with water and gently pat dry with a towel.
  4. Apply your favorite skin moisturizer.
  5. ENJOY!

Here’s what you need to make Calming Lavender Heart Shower Melts:

Supplies:

Makes 10 melts if using the same mold.

Directions:

  1. Combine the baking soda and epsom salts. Stir very well, making sure to get rid of any lumps that may have formed in the baking soda.
  2. Add the lavender flowers and stir into baking soda/epsom salts mixture.
  3. Mix 1-2 drops soap colorant in water.
  4. Add essential oils, then add water mixture and stir well. You should have a somewhat pasty mixture that will form into a ball or shape well.
  5. Spoon mixture into silicone heart mold, pressing firmly to fill the entire mold.
  6. Let set 24-48 hours to set.
  7. To remove from mold, flip mold over and press out of mold. They should come out fairly easily.
  8. Store in an airtight container and put one in the bottom of the shower close to the drain calming and relaxation.
