Here are 4 ways to practice self love and be good to yourself:
Positive Affirmations
Start each day with a daily positive affirmation. You can install a daily affirmation app on your smartphone so that you wake up to something positive or you can write your own positive affirmations to make sure that you start your day off feeling fabulous about yourself.
Take a Break
No matter how busy your day to day life is, it’s important that you schedule in a “me time” break. This could be something as simple as curling up to a good book in a quiet spot in your house, taking a warm bubble bath or going for a thirty-minute walk. Meditation works great too! Make sure you schedule a break for yourself every day.
Say No
One of the best ways to practice self love and be good to yourself is to learn when to say no. All too often we say yes to things that we really shouldn’t try to squeeze into our day as a means to help others. Embracing the fact that it’s okay to say no as a means to be good to yourself will help you appreciate your own needs and allow others to maintain better boundaries about asking you to do things.
Stop False Truths
All too often our self-esteem suffers because we tell ourselves false truths. Let go of trying to be everything for everybody and learn to stop the negative self talk. Each time you feel a new negative thought coming into your mind, counteract it with a positive affirmation about who you are so that you stop those false truths that have been diminishing your self love for a long time now.
These are just some of the best tips I can share to help you practice self love and be good to yourself on a regular basis. Each of these tips, when followed together, will help you live a happier and healthier lifestyle as you work to make certain that self love and time alone is a priority in your life.
