While they are the start of each and every day for every single person, most people tend to have a negative outlook immediately on the day once that alarm clock starts buzzing. If you’re like the majority of the world, you may feel the exact same way. The good news? There’s a way to have a morning self-care routine that can jump-start each and every morning with ease.

Here are some morning routine hacks to try:

Once that alarm clock rings, these morning self-care routine tips are perfect to motivate you to do your best and be ready for anything and everything that day!

Don’t put your alarm clock next to your bed

This is big. How many times do you find yourself “batting” around and hitting snooze every time your alarm goes off? Did you know that by doing this, you’re actually setting yourself up to be cranky for the entire duration of your day? When your alarm goes off and you hit snooze, you never get back into a deep sleep. It’s like a vicious cycle that isn’t going to end well!

Instead, move your alarm clock to somewhere way on the other side of the room. That way, once your alarm clock goes off, you physically have to get out of bed. And once you get out of bed, the odds of you crawling back in after hitting snooze are slim.

Wake up each morning and say something nice to yourself

The moment that your eyes pop open, compliment yourself. It can be something little or huge, you choose! Nice words are a great way to start the day so give it a try. You may be amazed at how giving yourself a compliment can really propel your day to move in a positive direction.

Save your showers for the AM time versus taking at night

There’s something refreshing about taking a shower in the morning. Maybe it’s the cold water that suddenly wakes you up…but showering in the morning is a great way to start your day. You can wash away the “sleep” and allow yourself to wake up slowly while you’re showering. 

Standing in your shower can give you a calming feeling to start your day and also allows you to think about everything that you have going on that day. Think of it as a moment in time where you’re all to yourself and your thoughts.

Drink your coffee in peace

Does your brain even function correctly before you’ve had your first cup of coffee? If your answer is no, you’re in the company of millions of other people in the world.  

If you love to start your day with a cup of coffee, start it in peace and be with your thoughts and your good old trusty cup of joe. And if you don’t drink coffee, try tea or any other warm beverage that can relax you. Sitting and sipping is a great way to relieve the stresses and get your day started off in a great way.

These simple tips for an awesome morning self-care routine are a great way to make certain that you’re taking care of yourself each and every morning. Once the sunlight starts to peek through the shades, it’s time to make certain that you’re doing what you need to do to rock the day the best way you can!
