Being a plus size woman, I’m always skeptical of buying workout gear online because I really don’t know if their sizing is accurate. Fabletics changed that!

I always have trouble finding clothes that fit because I’m plus size, only 5’1” and curvy, so the pants, capris, and leggings tend to be super long, and the tops are usually too tight since I have somewhat of a larger bust. Once I find a product that fits correctly, I buy one in every color and never look anywhere else.
As a former athlete, I’m used to wearing sportswear, and I like to feel comfortable and confident in it. I usually purchase items from Walmart or Target due to the price point, but this time I decided to give Fabletics (a subscription service) a try. What is Fabletics?
Fabletics is an activewear company co-founded by Kate Hudson. They offer a large variety of activewear, including tops, sports bras, capris, leggings, etc. that range in size from XXS-3X. You don’t often see plus size activewear, so this a great opportunity for me to test a few items out.
Fabletics differs from competitors because they are a subscription-based company; customers can shop as guests at retail prices or sign up for their flexible membership program to receive discounts, exclusive merchandise, and more. Fabletics’ membership is different from other subscription models in that it is a “flexible membership” – members can shop every month or skip and not be charged as long as they do so between the 1st and 5th of the month.
I was pleasantly surprised when I initially looked at the January catalog of products and immediately fell in love with the Bess Tank in the Mirage print and the High-Waisted Mesh Powerhold Leggings. I hate wearing lighter colors on the bottom of my body, so the black leggings with some mesh were perfect and very stylish!

The Bess Tank – Plus Size
The Bess Tank is a beautiful gray tank with a floral design. The front looked like a normal tank, and the back had an opening at the top. It was stylish and made of a lightweight mesh material.
The only issue with the top itself was that it hung a little low on my chest, and the armholes were a little too big, but I can deal with that if I’m working out and have the proper sports bra on. Overall, it was a win!

The High-Waisted Mesh Powerhold Leggings – Plus Size
The High-Waisted Mesh Powerhold Leggings did everything they needed to. At first, they didn’t look like they would even fit me. But as soon as I put them on, I fell in love. They felt like a dream.
They had a high waistband that did exactly what it needed and held everything in place. Inside the waistband, there was a pocket for a key, credit card, or money. It’s very functional to go to the gym without a bag.
However, my favorite part was the mesh accent on the bottom half of the legs. I was excited that the band on each leg fell where it should. I didn’t have to roll them up or worry about getting them caught on my sneakers.

Overall, I am very happy with the quality and the construction of both of the garments. There are plenty of options to choose from, and it’s worth a try for anyone looking to buy new sportswear.
